Becoming a Volunteer
The Club offers 2 types of opportunity on the UK Sites network.
Volunteers - Those who can help out with tasks on many of our UK Sites assisting the wardens with their duties.
Volunteer Wardens - These volunteers actually run the site on a short term voluntary basis without the assistance of a Warden.
VOLUNTEER WARDENS
The Club also has a group of volunteers who operate and run two service point only sites;
Aberbran in Powys Wales, and
Slinfold in West Sussex.
Volunteer Wardens receive full training to run a site on a day-to-day basis. No remuneration is given however travel expenses are paid.
Tasks include the following:
- Meeting, greeting and booking in of members arriving on site
- Dealing with telephone calls
- End of month accounts
- Ground maintenance
- Painting
- Liaising with staff at Head Office
